Philosophy

In consideration of retaining SW FARKAS, it is important to know the principles and philosophy of its founder, Somers Farkas.

Somers is not shy when discussing her faith and love of family. Her mother is her role model; it was she who instilled a sense of civic duty and helped form the principles by which Somers lives today:

Always keep your promises

Stand for the Flag. Kneel for the Fallen.

If you want a gentleman, act like a lady

Acknowledge and credit others

Be generous — with time, property, and kindness

Dignity and gentleness should not be mistaken for weakness

Choose your words wisely. Words are easy to forgive and hard to forget

“She was wise, subtle, and knew more than one way to skin a cat.” (Mark Twain in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court).
